Architecture Centre Amsterdam is the centre for architecture, urban design and landscape architecture. The city is our collection and we are the perfect starting point to discover its richness. Visit us for everything you want to know about the architecture and urban design of Amsterdam. Designed by architect René van Zuuk, our building alone is worth a visit, with its unique forms and beautiful views over the Oosterdok. By curating temporary exhibitions, we reflect on the history of the city as well as current and future developments.

I took the Crash Course in Amsterdam Architecture and then the tour of the IJ -- new northern part of Amsterdam. This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. Guide was an expert, personable and approachable.

The building itself is quite clever and worth a wander around to appreciate its curves and clever functionality. There was a small exhibition on lighting which we enjoyed but really this is a place to pop into for 10 minutes or so.

The building itself is outstanding, and the lady working there was both kind and helpful. Possible to buy some architecture guides about Amsterdam. But it is so small, it is not a real museum or exhibition hall where you can spend hours.

We thought this would be a wonderful exhibition dedicated to Amsterdam's architectural history. It was a one very small show room of canal control houses and downstairs was an area for people to do their own drawings of what should be done to the control...More

The ARCAM was not what I expected. Being an architect I expected more about the city and the buildings. I suggest just walking with a booklet from the visitors center and keep your eyes open. The city has a lot to offer architecturally.
