I absolutely love this cinema. A beautiful, old building, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Even when you're not catching a movie, it's a nice place to just admire the architecture and to grab a drink. It's usually not too busy, unless you're going on Thursday,...More

This is a popular local movie theater with small galleries in a fun part of town with friendly retro deep red themed restaurant, bar and waiting areas. My friend was annoyed when we got seated in the front row as it was a bit close...More

I absolutely loved this little theater. It's a great change from the massive movie theaters I am used to. The staff are friendly, there is a restaurant that serves alcohol inside, and the seats are comfortable. Awesome experience and I'd certainly come back!

This wonderful neighbourhood cinema has been showing movies on this site for over 100 years, and it shows a variety of interesting films for grown ups, plenty for the English speaker, as all films are shown VO with subtitles, rather than dubbed in German fashion!...More

Cinema in the 'good old fashioned way'. Always a good selection of movies: arthouse and the well known movies. Nice bar, nice restaurant. Good place to sit before and after the movie. Drinks allowed in the cinema itself. Very cosy environment.

Wonderful old theater, I belive it was originally built in 1912 but has been extremely well maintained with lovely plush carpeting and seating, small movie theaters (about 40 seats) so it is quite intimate but really cozy. Nice bar to get a drink or coffee...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
