We enjoyed a great production of Verdi's Rigoletto here in May. One of my favorite things about opera is the many ways to interpret the stories and tell them in new ways and this production did this well. The cast of singers and orchestra was...More

The Dutch National Opera & Ballet structure which located by the side of a canal was wonderful, particularly at night time. The performance thereat was equally good and worth to come and share the experience.

Onegin ballet performance was outstanding. But more than this cultural atmosphere that you breathe is appealing. "Must do" for Amsterdam

Wonderful performances but I remain baffled why they would accept such a profoundly ugly and inappropriate building design. It clashes with the historic surrounding buildings and presents a visual eye sore. It's no Sydney Opera House. I love Holland but I wish their penchant for...More

I keep coming back as the performances are special each time. Even with simple lightning a memorable show is created. I do not advise the vine in this place. The staff is always friendly & helping

Performance was breathtaking. I totally enjoyed. Mezmerizing. It's a total experience of dance, dancers and music. My favourites this time? Ballet 4, 2, 3 and 1. In that order. The Muziektheater is within easy reach of public transport. Drinks can be ordered beforehand, to avoid...More

Yes there's an opera (Parsifal) and a ballet (Coppelia). The theatre is close to central station and the underground and trams stop in front of the building. Find all the information on our website.
