Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Cute, comfortable and cozy cinema. Location is good. Not the typical cinema, definitely worth a visit to add to your Amsterdam experience.

Beautiful small cinema

Right in the city centre is this small cinema. So nice, a beautiful theatre with art house movies. I like to go here as often as I can.

Small cinema - comfortable setting for an evenings entertainment
Aug 2016 • Friends
Small cinema (70-80 capacity). Some films are shown in English. The staff were very friendly. Comfortable seats. On the balcony each pair of seats have a table. There were beers available during the film by way of a fridge at the front of the stalls - self-service and leave your money in the cookie jar! Pleasant evening enjoyed here (Pink Floyd - The Wall if you're interested)

The oldest cinema/movie theatre in Amsterdam (Holland)
Feb 2016 • Friends
So we sit upstairs, in mini "boxes" (but open-sided) with a low table in front of us upon which we can place our delicious drink, and we relax in the dark-red plush-covered comfy seats, and time rolls backwards, as we watch a Goldie Oldie (though not necessarily, I have just seen a recently-produced film). It's a small intimate cinema, you can chat with the other folks before and after the showing. A unique atmosphere, truly delightful. I think it's the oldest cinema in Amsterdam, but maybe Tuschinski is in the running ....
