The experience was very poor. Its more of a gallery than a museum! You see almost nothing with equipment and the history from the "old" days. Way too much of glass statues and paintings. I wouldn't recommend this at all!

This place used to be good to take business relations and let them learn about the erotic aspects of Amsterdam. In the meanwhile the museum is run down and really needs an upgrade, will not take customers here anymore, better go a little further down...More

There is quite a lot of "filler" in this museum but I wasnt sure what we were expecting to be honest! Some very amusing parts and not too expensive. Good for a laugh.

Our first trip in Amsterdam has been a real eye opener, This museum is one of many things we wanted to see and experience. The museum is quite well laid out and very informative. There are quite a few humorous parts to it also.

If you can only visit one of the sex museums in Amsterdam, make it this one. Fun and interesting exhibits...make sure you look up when you get to the top floor!

I chanced upon this pleasure dome and decided to step in - it's Amsterdam. It was very well put together with interesting as well as erotic detailing. Sometimes funny, sometimes quirky, great entertainment and a nice bunch of people coming and going. Not grotty at...More

Based over five floors, the museum has an eclectic assortment of erotica. There are some interesting drawings and designs, but on the whole, not worth 7 Euros entry fee. There is a children's area on the second floor, which seems incongruous. I think it is hyped...More

Similar to Madame Tussaud, this museum was a way to pass time, however, I wouldn't recommend it for 7 euros each. Yes it was interesting, allowed a giggle, however I wouldn't suggest it is worth the price

More “serious” than the sex museum and almost twice the price at €7 so there were no teenagers there and it was quiet. The most interesting thing about this place was the sketches by John Lennon. Basically if an item displays a certain part of...More

This is more of an erotic art gallery than a museum; don't expect captions or explanations of the objects on display - most don't have them so you will have to explore the multiple floors relying on a lot of guesswork.

Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the
Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its
saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to
view some of the city’s most picturesque canals,
historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples
of traditional local architecture – not to mention
Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist
temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some
