Maybe more for the enthusiast but on a quiet Sunday morning is a great place to spend a couple of hours. 4 euro for a return trip along a 7 km route through a park. Theres a different Vintage tram every 20-30 minutes. Also a small cafe and shop in the old railway building. Tram 16 brings you to the... More

Took a round trip on an old tram on this 7km ride through the suburbs. Great way to see the other side of Amsterdam away from the picture postcard centre. Good value for money and volunteer staff are very friendly.

Also known as Tramline 30: a historic tram track from Amsterdam to Amstelveen. It is a cute ride! You feel like you are going back in time. The route is between Haarlemmermeerstation – Jollenpad – Kalfjeslaan – Station Amstelveen – Station Bovenkerk. Total length is about 7 km. The track used to be a cargo transport line, but in the... We took a tram ride to Bovenkerk this Sunday (it operates only on Sundays), which took less than 30min one way. It is a very nice experience, especially if you take one of the very old trams (there are several models and some of them are much newer and not so charming). The tram passes Amsterdamse bos, lakes, canals and... More

Beautifully-restored old trams from Amsterdam and elsewhere trundle several km past forests, lakes, canals, and attractive suburbs. Only EUR 5.00 for a round trip makes this excellent value too. There were 8 trams running when we went. You can travel to the far end of the line and take a break in a local cafe, then return on a later... More

How to make a rainy summer day memorable in Amsterdam - ride an old tram! Although it was August, and it was cold and rainy, yet the stalwarts of the Electrische Museumtramlijn kept the 7+ km of track running, to the delight of the very young and the very old (me), If old, clanking, electric-motor-humming, wooden-bench trams are for you, then...
