The 9 streets is full of al type's of shops from clothing to clocks and watches and art. you have to walk and spend time there to really get into the mood of the area. I would say at least 2 hours or more. there...More

This is in the canal area and it was interesting to check out the shops. A variety of shops, most not inexpensive.
This location would be nice on a warmer day, perhaps in the Spring or Summer. I wouldnt battle the cold winds for any of the over priced shops we entered.
Lovely independent shopping not far from Jordaan. Combine both areas for a day in Amsterdam. Less touristy and very picturesque. Pop in for a coffee and cake at chocolateria Pompadour. A nice change from the hub bub of Dam.
