The setting of this location gave additional sparkle to a global event. Certainly different. Excellent location for a glamorous event although the food service was very slow due to limited facilities and no bar facilities were available. However, it was certainly the most amazing setting...More

Climb up 187 steps to experience the best view of Amsterdam. The young guides take up a group of no more than six people at a time to explain the process of building the church and the particularities related to it. When you reach the...More

Not for the faint of heart, people out of shape, or those afraid of tight spaces!! For 9€ you can climb the church tower for an unobstructed view of Amsterdam. True, the stair are narrow. True, there are a few 'loose' stairs. True, there are...More

Westerkerk is situated next to Anne Frank House and T'smalle brown café. If you're in the area then it's a super place to visit. Walk up the Westerkerk tower for great views of Amsterdam

We stopped here because we are staying 2 blocks away. The interior is not very impressive - very bland in the reformation style. They have a tower tour which we did not choose to do.

Famous as the church close to Anne Frank's hiding place--she liked the sound of the bells--the Westerkerk is interesting in its own right. The blue spire incorporating the Imperial Austrian crown is striking and the tallest church in the city, and inside there is a...More

Yes the church is sparse but the tour is well worth the 8 euro. Climbing the stairwell was very cool and each stop had a wonder story about the history and working of the bell tower. The culmination is the special views from the outdoor...More

Definitely a must do. If stairs aren't good for you, this isn't for you. 30 min. guided tour to the top. The guide stops at every level and tells a little history. The stairs do get narrower as you get to the top. Loved it!
