Went with my girlfriend, her brother, and my sister to get a tour of Amsterdam. The staff was really helpful and in a good, humorous mod. The captain was great in particular. The tour lasted one hour and we all had earplugs to listen to...More

We went In a small open-top boat with about 12 people. Our captain, Menne, was very entertaining and knowledgeable. A really memorable way to see the whole city. EUR 19.50 each for a little over 75 minutes was not bad value.

Lovely canal cruise with delicious dinner and wine included. A great introduction to Amsterdam. A narrated tour of the city. I did drift away from the narration from time to time, to enjoy the sights, the meal, the wine, and of course the great companions...More

While in Amsterdam last week we took two canal tours. The first highly recommended by the concierge at our hotel "Canal tours like the locals." It was awful. Very disappointed. The following day we came across Stromma Canal Tours and it was sensational! Captain Dave...More

I think this provider offers different cruises so be sure to inform yourself beforehand. We booked the 1 hour boat tour (100 highlights) and were very disappointed. No open roof and the windows only open very badly and are small. The audio does provide many...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring

Even without the rain, the visibility was quite poor through the glass unless you got a window seat. I am pretty sure it would be bad if its raining, so my advice will be to not take it if it is raining.
