I think a museum has to be QUIET
Jun 2021 • Solo
The museum itself is nice, but unfortunately, a security guard and a cleaning staff were talking super laud in the room while I was looking at the beautiful art works. It really disturbed me a lot. I think they were completely forgetting that they are actually working in a MUSEUM.

Perfect for art
Mar 2020 • Friends
Never been to a museum displaying art. Not my cup of tea but the old part of den Bosch informatiom was nice. Would not pay entrance fee if it was just the art because i am Not a lover. Thinks this museum suits the art lovers more.

History and art in one museum
Feb 2020
This is a great place to go to see local history from medieval times, some art pieces from Bosch and Van Gogh. There are also some temporary exhibits. Great for a rainy day or cold day!

exceeded our expectations
Dec 2019
Our reason for coming to 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch) was the exhibition "Van Gogh's Inner Circle" at the Noordbrabants Museum (until 12 Jan 2020). We were not disappointed by the exhibition, which was very well done indeed and shed a light on van Gogh's tumultuous and tormented life from an original angle (letters and other impressions of him by his family and friends) - with an emphasis on his life in the province of Brabant where, of course, he spent most of it, even though his short time in France was artistically the most productive. We were also impressed by the museum as a whole and wandered a short while through the rooms with its permanent exhibition. And we enjoyed the Museum's small cafeteria .. where we had the local delicacy, the Bosche bol. AS the saying goes: well worth a special trip!

Beautifull exposition Ali Banisadr and the history of Brabant
Aug 2019
We went to the Noord Brabant museum to see some of Vincent van Gogh paintings, where we encounter the colourful and bright paintings of Banisadr. Very beautifull!
I was very impressed by the history of Brabant too.
After a while I got tired and visited the restaurant of the museum. They have some nice food and snacks on their menu. The only thing that almost spoiled my day was the waitress who slammed my cup of tea on the table, causing my cookie to be soaked allover. I guess she was tired of all the visitors asking questions and she had to run about (big restaurant),waiting all those people. I adressed her on the fact, she said 'sorry' and got me another dry dish and cookie.
I continued my journey through the exposition of the Romans, Jeroen Bosch and others. Go see the paintings about religion, nowadays we consider those visions and thinking about love and behaving old fashioned and outdating. There is a lot to see, you got to visit this museum.

Beautiful museum
Nov 2018 • Couples
The museum is located in a beautiful historic building, the former governor's house. The collection ranges from modern art to archaeology. I was particularly interested in the archaeology part, which has a nice collection -not too big but a nice overview of the archaeology of this province. Really pitty though that the museum does not have any books about archaeology in the museum shop.

Jan Sluijters exhibit
Mar 2019 • Solo
Really nice exhibit in which Aluijters is also compared (and next to) his influencers/influencees like Leo Gestel and Piet Mondriaan. Nicely done. The museum itself is a beautiful building. A mixture of modern and older architecture, lovely situated in the city centre.

Great visit
Mar 2019
Although not a particularly large museum, there is enough to enjoy a couple of hours here. The building itself is very impressive with some beautiful rooms, particularly on the second floor which displays works by some of the old masters. The staff are very friendly and helpful and would recommend a visit if in area.
