Perhaps we are seeing too many large cathedrals this trip as although this has heaps of history & architectural significance it is large, cold & has no intimacy at all

Almost all of the cathedral is accessible to the visitor but you have to pay to enter. It is more interesting if you read Dutch. There is a smattering of English, French and German, but very little. The treasury is extensive and worth a visit....More

Nice Basilica and claustro. Restful environment to make a stop in your journey and admire peace a greatness... a must see place in Maastricht.

The display of relics and artifacts was interesting. It is a large collection. I have never seen this many relics with bones/teeth displayed. The basilica is impressive. Access to the courtyard would have been nice

You have to understand / know a bit of the Maastricht history and traditions in order to understand all there is to see of this marvelous basilica. Worth every minute and penny!
