Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This museum is housed in an old tower at the Waal river and at the bottom of the historic Valkhof hill. This is a nice setting, but the museum is quite small, which is why I rate it as average. Some history is explained inside, and there's a display about the plague. Entry was quite cheap, 3 euros or so, so it doesn't hurt to have a look when you're around. Currently archeological excavations are going on at the back of this tower, so this may be a good time to go there.

The remains of a fortress tower built around 1520. Walk some of the tunnels where they walked in defense of the city. Well crafted and enduring, you are transported back to another time. Imagine yourself, resting in a brick alcove, lanterns, casting shadows in the cool underground air, until it is your turn to be on watch.
