Fantastic race circuit
Jun 2019
It,s a fantastic technical race driving circuit. You can enter the circuit which is near the highway. Also an international airport is in the neighborhood. Good, perfect facilities, enough hotels in the neighborhood. There is a very large amount of tribunes, with screens by the big international races so you don;t have to miss anything.

Excellent circuit to race or track day
Jul 2019
I have watched many Moto GPs and WSB races here on the TV but had never visited to watch or race. Happily, I can say it is very good in a car and the final chicane is as good in real life as it is on the telly. Spectators looked to get a good view. The only fault is that is fairly flat (as is Holland).

Our first Moto GP... And we couldn't have picked a better one to start with! We got a train on the Sunday to Assen and thought we would have to get a cab to the circuit but they run a bus service 5 Euro you just queue up the buses are running constantly.

One of the stewards noticed I had a walking stick so he made sure I got a seat... The bus takes about 15mins it's on dedicated bus lanes. It drops you off right outside .. we only had a few minutes to wait and we were in.... We had seats in the longest stand and had a very good view...

It's a really good circuit for facilities, lots of places to eat and drink.. most have two queues card/cash and cash only so it moves very quickly, reasonable prices I've paid a lot more in the UK...

If I have one small gripe is there are not enough shaded areas to get out of the sun... So everyone gathers at the bottom of the stairs... I melted during the Moto 3 and spent over an hour sitting on the floor under the stand trying to grab shade. If there had been seats on the outside of the stand I would have been there instead of being in everyone's way... Other than that the place is great, everything runs smoothly.. the place is very clean and tidy the staff are fantastic and were really helpful to me that day... Coming out we just got the bus back to station... Already looking at hotels for next year...

Moto GP - Awesome !!

Some of the best racing you will ever see at the 'Cathedral of Speed' and plenty of facilities to cater for the 168,000+ spectators. If you've never been to a MotoGP, then Assen is the place to start !! First Class

Cathedral of Speed, we will be back. Been to many of the European circuits but this has the best spectator viewing of all and a very fast track. Walked the entire circuit on the Friday and not a single viewpoint that you'd be disappointed by. 3 day tickets allow you access to all stands Fri/Sat and we tried out most. The only covered stand is opposite the pits so watched qualifying from there. Harboocht was my favourite for the view but had full on sun all day. Strubben was our choice for race day, which was very handy as closest to bus drop off from Assen. Food choices burgers, hotdogs, kebab and fish but we took ours with us. 5-9€. Lots of clean loos, but 50c per visit so lots of men going anywhere. Stayed in Assen and got the bus each way on Fri-Sun. 5€ per person return/day. Sunday after race was only time had to wait more than 5 minutes but was only like that for 30 minutes or so. Well organised all round, no track has the atmosphere of Mugello but this is definitely now my 2nd favourite. Fun staying in Assen too.

MOTO GP
Jun 2019
Just returned from our first trip to the Moto GP at Assen. Awesome weekend - Fri/Sat watched the racing from many places, Sunday in the Strubben-Tribune Grandstand - very comfortable and great views. Food/drink/toilet facilities brilliant. Motorbike parking very well organised. Accommodation was 20 mins south of track in Dwingeloo - very nice and quiet. Great location/Well Organised Track/Brilliant weekend. May have to experience the noisy nightlife in Assen next time...

Where are we ? They don't accept foreign credit card ? What a mess and rude personal.
Jun 2018
We went there with my wife for the Motogp race in June. What a mess, a huge queue for food, you wait to ear that card are not accepted. We've tried with 3 different card. people were very rude and aggressive, no understanding at all. There was no ATM machine, so no cash.
Where are we ? In which country ? Never saw a such mess.

BSB 2018
Oct 2018 • Solo
6th year travelling to the BSB round and it confirms why I think the TT circuit is one of the best anywhere. Year on year there have been small improvements to the facilities but this year the new grandstands that now extend from Ramshoek all the way down the outside of the main start/finish straight to Haarbocht are just fantastic. Because of the circuit layout and level of the land (flat!), many of these offer views of the track elsewhere, as well as right in front of you.
Add to this the fact that you can walk all the way round the circuit with raised grass banks where there are no grandstands offering vantage points and it all adds up to one of the best spectator circuits I have been to.
I would say that everything good you have heard about Assen is true, the feeling of speed you get watching the riders tackle the flowing circuit is incredible. I simply love the place.
Food and waste facilities are top and the Dutch are such marvelous, welcoming people (who generally speak superb English - much to my shame!), parking and circuit access, I can't honestly think of a reason not to go.
BSB is back next year and circuit admission allows unrestricted access to the whole paddock and all grandstands at no extra cost.
It's a great week end of brilliant racing at a truly classic circuit.
Just go.
