It was so much fun, needed two visits!

What a find. Liked it so much we returned a second night. Werner & Company was the lederhosen wearing band that was total fun. Accordion, clarinet, trumpet, keyboard. What a... read more

The atmosphere is nice, and you can sit outside and enjoy the air and the river, and also enjoy the music from inside. The service, however, was not good. There was only one waitress and she was really busy, and the food we ordered came really late.

Stopped here for lunch on Monday. Place was quiet which worried me a little. However the food was actually quiet good, and compared to other restaurants and beer halls, quite good value. Considering it is so close to the lake and the old town, it wasn't bad.

What a find. Liked it so much we returned a second night. Werner & Company was the lederhosen wearing band that was total fun. Accordion, clarinet, trumpet, keyboard. What a blast. It appears to have mostly locals or at least a lot more local then us. As the band revs up they are dancing in the isles. Sebastian was the... More

My husband and I stopped in here one evening to have a light dinner and a couple of beers. We were pleasantly surprised with the people watching. Being next to the Limmat river, lots of people would walk by. The service was typical Swiss, taking lots of time between sitting down, being provided a menu, and actually ordering and then... More

As soon as the band started playing and we took our first sip of Eichhof we turned to each other with pure delight and said "I never want to leave" I can't speak for the food, but we had deliciously raucous good time here for a few hours before and after dinner on a chilly Saturday night.

Loved this bar- every night while we were there this bar was full of folk dressed in traditional Bavarian costume with a band singing, the beer flowing and everyone up dancing ! A real contrast to my former image of buttoned up Swiss folk :)

Night life in Zurich almost does not exist, especially on Tuesday:) but once you go to wolf bierplace you will at least have a lot of fun. Friendly atmosphere, live music and dancing people who looks around 60-70 will give you a positive mood any case:). Also, if you are younger you have chance to be a true star! :)

I was invited by a swiss friend for an early lunch at this local, a well established beer local, with outdoor seating in front of the Limat river during a warm summer day. We had a good swiss dish each accompanied by a glass of beer. The service was friendly and professional and the price an excellent value for a... More

Our waiter started out surly and then turned all smiles after awhile. The food was excellent and plentiful and cheap, and the oom-pah-pah band who took the stage at 8pm was hilarious. People of all ages stood up on chairs and tables and between to dance and sing along. Fantastic!
