Lucky me I was there on Wednesday. It is a must to visit Kunsthaus. The museum isn't that grand, if compared to the NY's Met, however the size itself let me wandered around and admire each artwork without a haste. I explored the whole building...More

Getting to the main collection is awkward due to current construction work. The Art Deco wing is a highlight. Unfortunately many of the masterpieces, in what use to be a delightful museum, are now suffocated under glass. This makes it difficult to view them without...More

Nice visit to the Kunsthaus Zurich. Check the website first for entrance fees and what special exhibits cost. We were surprised that the SwF16 entry fee did not cover the Italian folk art exhibit....which cost an additional 23 SwF! The front desk person did not...More

Plan on spending the better aprt of a day to fully enjoy this wonderful collection. The collection includes art from all of the Old Masters. If you're making a day of it, there's also an onsite restaurant for lunch.

There is so much to see here that it is almost overwhelming. The collection ranges from the 15th century to the 20th century and even a couple of 21st century pieces. In addition to a lovely collection of 17th century art, they have outstanding 20th...More

The Kunsthaus would be worth a visit for the building alone, which has some ultramodern sections, some classical painting galleries, and some beautifully conceived Jugendstil architecture, and furnishings. The collection itself is quite stunning, with terrific Dutch masters, Italian renaissance, French impressionists, early modern, and...More

I'm a fan of contemporary art because it can be unpredictable, out of the ordinary, full of different colours and shapes and textures, and the works of art I found in this museum ticked all those boxes. It's a very enjoyable visual experience and while...More

Spent longer than I thought here as so much to see from a wide and varied world of artists. Particularly liked the Monets but was equally impressed by artists lesser known to myself. Found the audio guide really useful in opening both my mind and...More

The museum's collection boasts three of Monet's large scale lily paintings, as well as some iconic Van Goghs and, my personal favorite, "Rotterdam La Meuse" by Signac. There are also some interesting surrealist and cubist paintings.

Dear traveller, that depends very much on your personal interest in the exhibition. I have been in exhibitions for 1-2 hours and for several hours. Some exhibitions were so interesting that I visited them two or... More
