From start to finish this is a great road ! The scenery the whole way up and down is simply stunning. The road itself winds up and down to the pass and you have every type of bend possible ! Highly recommended !

A beautiful drive though the valleys and snow covered peaks on the background. A part of the pass has a tunnel which is partly closed and partly open. The open part of the tunnel looks quite like a balcony on the side of the mountain,...More

If you are in the area you have to drive this pass, it is worthwhile doing even if only going to the top and back down again. If driving to Italy, the only reason to take the tunnel is bad weather. Don't miss out.

Loved this place but be forewarned-even in July it is very cold at the pass. The pass is closed a part of the year. We delayed leaving by a day because fog made it impossible to see the road!

It was amazing to look at the mountains on the side with the houses perched high up there. The tunnel itself was also iconic with beams that allows one to look out while the vehicle passes through.

In less than 1 hour drive from Aosta, Italy you can reach this amazing point 2,500m above the sea level. Be careful not to enter the tunnel which goes through the mountains. At the pass you can park at the Italian or Swiss side and...More

Nothing to say other than this is a wonderful experience (particularly if you avoid my error of going into the main Swiss /Italian Grt-St-B tunnel!) taking you into a wonder world that has to be seen to be believed.

This is one of those must see places and you should view it like a local. Rent a car, pack a lunch and take one of the back roads to the top of the pass. When you get there find a spot, unpack the car...More

Le Grand St Bernard is AMAZING!! We have been many times and I cannot find any words with enough wow factor to describe this place. It needs to be seen as photos don't do it enough justice. 😮😮😮 We spent the whole day here just...More

This is probably the best drive you can ever take at 2500 meters above sea level. It's a thrilling exercise and recommend a coffee break at the restaurant at the top.
