When it rains a little person still must be entertained.

We went to the sports center for the pool and found the overhead entertainment.

The course is really cool and doable by relatively small children, though not toddlers. It is in the center of town, most hotels provide a discount to it, and it is just cool to see (and it is across from the Coop).

Comments from my 10y old daughter : very good but a bit hard. Warm and efficient welcome (in English). Lot of diversified exercises. The 4 tracks are enough (for 3 of them we took 2.5 hours). For kids minimum 1.4meter tall and we understood why. Second half of medium track is a bit tough. Last jump from 3rd track (hard) is frightening for me (and my father was not fully comfortable neither !). Great experience with a lot of sensations !

Four incentives, groups or just some friends, I can highly recommend this indoor-rope park. It's great fun. There are different levels, from easy to pretty difficult, for everybody something.

Perfect place for some indoor fun, the courses are long and challenging. If you are afraid of heights it might be too much, you are suspended in the roof above a ice hockey rink.

It definitely was not what we expected, a ropes course above an ice rink but, it was still fun and worth the price (in my opinion)! My boyfriend didn't find it challenging at all but we both still found their varying elements different and enjoyable.

Do you like American Ninja Warrior? Ice Hockey? Being suspended on metal wires in the rafters of a large building? The Sportzentrum Ropes Course is right up your alley...

First things to note: When we were in Grindelwald, the ropes course was only open from 1400-2100 Wednesday through Sunday. The cost for myself and my 12-year old son was 57 CHF, totally worth it in my opinion. There's a great little cafe/bar upstairs in the Sportzentrum if you need to grab some lunch without venturing out into town. If it's a rainy day, this is a great place to go for hours of fun.

Our family loves ropes courses, and the Europeans seem to have a flair for making them incredibly challenging and sometimes downright scary. There are five courses to choose from here, ranging from short, sweet, and easy all the way up to the "Eiger Nordwand" which both my son and I took one look at and said "no thanks". The courses have the usual array of ropes course obstacles (rope bridges, zip lines, cargo nets, etc) but there are a few I've never seen at any other place that set the Sportzentrum course apart. One the most advanced course (the "Eiger Nordwand") there is a section requiring you to use ice axes to get across a segment, followed by a section where you literally run sideways on a near vertical wall. They're not messing around here. The other four courses were suitable for both me and my son. Not so easy that we ran right through them, but no so challenging that we had to be rescued off the course.

Oh yeah... all of the courses are suspended above the ice rink below. Depending on what time of day you show up, you may have a bunch of figure skaters, the general public, or two hockey teams sliding around on the ice 50' below you for added distraction.

This place ranked "awesome" by by almost 13-year old. That's a level above "cool", which is how he described most of Switzerland. If you have adventurous kids (or are an adventurous kid at heart, make this place one of your stops in Grindelwald.
