Stunning any time time of the year

Looking across the Aletsch Glacier and feeling like you can touch the sky, this is such a breath-taking place to visit. There is also a fun Ice cave to visit and you can always find snow here if you have never played in it.

It is the main summit in the Bernese Alps..The area is out of a paradise...snow all around..you can spend hours in the area..must visit places in Switzerland..it takes 3 trains and a lot of tunnels to reach the place and its worth every penny..

My daughter and I thought the beauty of the Alps and Jungfraustrasse were unreal. It was so easy to get there.

Amazing scenery
Dec 2019 • Family
This area is beautiful, especially the snowy mountains and snow covered villages. Mulled wine around fire pits early evening and amazing sunsets!!
We explored the area on a skiing trip. Nothing beat skiing through snowy villages and the breathtaking views of mountains, valleys and lakes. The scenic mountain railways were really magical.

Amazing mountain with splendid beauty
Aug 2019
The beauty of the mountains was simply unparalleled. We went to the top, popularly called the Jungfraujoch in their famous cogwheel train. the journey was splendid and the end result was equally rewarding. The beauty at the top is simply unmatched. there was ice everywhere and the sky was clear. Wish could have stayed a little more longer.

Excellent choice for a day trip from Interlaken
Oct 2019
Easy access to Jungfrau from Interlaken. Purchased the swiss half card which made travel in this area much cheaper. You should plan your day when you know it will not be cloudy as you won't see anything. I had sunshine.

Stunning
Oct 2019
The Jungfrau is a stunning mountains and Jungfraujoch in its saddle (between Mönch and Jungfrau) is a wonderful place to visit. Yes there is a cost to this, but it is quickly forgotten once you are enjoying the views and enjoy the quality of what is being offered.

Wonderful experience. The views are breathtaking. Plan on spending at least 3 days to make sure you pick a clear day to visit the top of the mountains. I stayed in Lauterbrunnen. Small town feel. Less busy then Grinderwald. Be sure to take a hike and visit surrounding towns, including Murren.

Definitely worth looking into!
Jul 2019
I went to Jungfrau in late June, early July. There are three things I'd like to touch upon: the beauty, activities & pricing. The Jungfrau region is absolutely breathtaking, you definitely feel transported once you arrive and those kinds of feelings are some you never forget. They have a lookout area at the top and even though there is a bit of a rush, nothing is really 'slow-moving' which is definitely really good. In terms of activities, there is sledding, tubing and on the same slope you could even ski or snowboard down them (they are SMALL slopes), there's also ziplining! I can not stress enough about how much fun I had, especially with my parents! We all participated in the activities so don't worry parents you can too! They also have food courts and different restaurants as well as gift shops, an ice palace and a cute little tour on the moutnains history. Finally, pricing, it's expensive. Maybe the activities are reasonably priced but the train to get there is crazy-expensive. The experience is not a waste of money but you're definitely going to want to think about the cost beforehand. If you do go, MAKE THE BEST OF IT, SPEND THE ENTIRE DAY THERE AND GET YOUR MONEY'S WORTH!

Great area for hiking and majestic scenic expansive mountain views
Sep 2019 • Solo
This is a brief review of my September 2019 visit to the Jungfrau area. You can read my previous review of this area from my August 2028 visit (written and submitted in July 2019).

The area is stunning in the variety of the many numerous outstanding panoramic mountain vistas of snow capped peaks, and the possibility for hiking and outdoor activities is very impressive.

I am happy to return every year, and to plan a summer residence in Lauterbrunnen.

Now please- as I wrote in my previous contribution- this page is about the area, and NOT the train activity to the top of Europe: that is a different review known as Jungfraujoch: so keep it straight and separate.
