Definitely worth the visit! We took the 07:12 AM boat from Luzern across Lake Luzern to Alpnachstad. We purposely opted for this early schedule so we do not have to rush in Alpnachstad for the 8:10AM cogwheel train ride to the peak. The Pilatus Bahnen is the World's Steepest Cog Railway and it was quite an experience to ascend towards... More

Better to visit during winter. Clear sky and Swiss Alps. Too many people during summer time and the view is not clear because of hot.

A must if you visit Lucerne. A bit expensive but worth the trip to the top. Was wuite sunny and warm at the top. Only bad thing was the fog, as we couldn't admire the view. The other side though was amazing.

A place to hide and find peace, even for a few hours. I was lucky about the weather, part cloudy and minimal wind. Make sure you make time for a glass of hot wine on the terrace as you enjoy the view. The ride up the mountain costs 57.6 fr but definitely worth it.

We took the cable car up to the summit and oh boy what an amazing view and experience. Full panoramic view of the mountains, the lake the city of Lucerne and breathtaking. Tickets were 57 Swiss francs each and worth every penny. You transfer from one cable to that holds 4 people, to a car holding around 58 people and... More

We were taken here by family in January 2017, and wow what an experience. The ride up was fun and just breathtaking. We didn't know where to look. The higher we went up the more amazing it became. In the winter it was a wonderland but I'm sure the summer would be too. Do not miss this ride.

Ride the steepest cog train to a marvelous view. Wonderful views of the lake district and Lucerne. Highly recommend the trip.
