Rose Garden (Rosengarten) was a part of the guided tour I was on recently, which incorporated much of the old town of Bern. It is a beautiful place to visit, a gem if you will, with some amazing views of the city. It's immaculately kept,...More

Best place for afternoon with kids. Wonderful view of the old city and a great cafe. What else can you want? Well, parking. Had some trouble finding a parking space in the popular afternoon hours.

The very steep walking trail up to the area of the rose garden on a hot afternoon was proving extremely popular with the Sunday visitors and once you reach the level at which the garden is laid out in bloom season it is a pleasant...More

I love gardens. There were some things blooming in early May but I imagine there's more going on now. They have nice gardens and a nice fountain. We had beverages on the patio at the restaurant. Which is terrific because it overlooks the city. It's...More

Is end of November a good time to visit the rose garden? We plan to visit Bern for a day and the main attraction is the rose garden. If the flowers not bloom at that time, it would be of no use to visit the town.

Even without the roses the place offers a magnificent view over old town Bern. I would say go there :)
