15th century cathedral under renovation. The incredible artistry greets as you approach the immense doorway. Make sure your battery is well charged because you'll need your flash (allowed on the day I was there) to captured the details inside.

Worth a very quick peak inside, but unless you're taking in the tower view, plan on spending just a few minutes here. There are prettier churches in Switzerland.

Beautiful church that affords the tallest view in Switzerland ( building). Over 300 steps to the top. No need to go to the gym the day you visit.

You can't miss it... you can see it from almost everywhere in old city. It is one of the many Gothic churches that can be found around Europe. Beutifully lighted in the evening... it is nice to see it from the opposite bank of the...More

It costs 2 CHF to climb the spire and it’s well worth it. The views from the top are amazing and I swear it feels like you can reach out and touch the alps. In front of the church is a small square where they...More

Started in the 15th century with the top of its tower completed at the end of the 19th--in fact, a teenage Klee drew the "Münster” without its spire. A colorful Last Judgement crowning the main portal shows a little devil applying a pair of pliers...More

You cannot miss this imposing Cathedral in the Bern old Town. It belongs to the Swiss Reformed church. The highlight is that you can climb the 220+ steps to go up the bell tower and get a magnificent 360 degree view of the city and...More

It’s worth it to climb to the top (5 CHF). You can see the entire city from the top. I went at the end of the day, 4:40 PM and there were only a few others at the top. You do climb a spiral staircase....More
