Perhaps I just don’t appreciate art but I prefer the other Fountains in Bern. This one just looks like a rusty pole. I like the others with painted statues and because you can fill up a water bottle.

This is one of the most unusual, unique fountains in Bern! It certainly doesn't fit the "mold" of the other fountains, and seems to have a mold/moss all its own! It definitely warrants a look-see and a photo! It is symbol of growth and life...More

Go and see this if you’re in Bern, but realize that it is strange. I much prefer many of the other fountains in the city. That said, I give the Swiss credit for providing a lot of variety with the fountains.

This fountain looked run down and a little weird with overgrown grass. It was not my favorite fountain in Bern.

I encountered this when I was walking around in Bern. I really did not know what it was or what is should look like. It looks like a piece of earth grew from the ground. I found or really fascinating.

I was passing by, and wondered what it is. It was a sunny day and the snow did still stick to it on one side. But no water come from it. Tripadvisor cleared it up 😉

Eventhough biologists endlessly praise the bio diversity on this concrete stump in the historic city center it remains a sore spot. Even after decades one does not really get used to it. A great name by itself does not suffice to contribute true art...

Definitely different, but it makes a lot more sense once you read about it on the website. I wouldn't go out of your way to see it, but passing by, it's worth the photo stop.
