Nothing overly exciting, quite relaxing little trip across the Rheine. About a 3 minute journey. You could walk one way and catch a ride back.

The little ferry travels backwards and forwards across the Rhine with good frequency in August. Cost 1.6CHf so was not expensive compared to everything else in the city!

Relaxing way to cross the river in a few minutes. Propelled by the current of the river and a cable to guide it. A must when in Basel.

Yes you can take a pram. You may want to sit closer to the cabin for shade, and its rarely windy to the point that water splashes on deck.
