Nice

It is a nice ferry. I visited Basel on a weekend trip from Zurich and I think this is a „must - do“.

There are 3 ferries that operate in the old town area. We took the one behind the Munster. They have no engines and are carried from one side to the other by a tether and the current. The operator simply shifts the keel to move...More

this is by far the best way to see the crazy human floaters who fill a bag with their daywear and air, then float along the rhine in the centre of the city. its some sight, and you can imagine the H&S that would be...More

Go downstairs behind Munster and catch the ferry. Only takes a few minutes and it’s a lovely walk along the river on the other side. Catch the tram back at either bridge.

We used this to cross the river. There are several different locations. It is interesting. About 1.80 CHF per person. Pay in cash.

Cute traditional ferry boat with easy crossing and dropped us Basel Munster. Used free pass from Basel Card so price was right. Sure saved some walking time from the opposite bank of the Rhine. Weather was perfect.
