It's a really lovely zoo - great day out with the family. And if you are there in winter and it's cold enough - you can watch the penguins go for a walk outside!

Quite large inside, at time of my visit elephant enclosure was being updated. Surprisingly bigger and more diverse than I was expecting though food and drink is limited.

Very interesting experience at Basel Zoo which is much larger than first appears. We got some really good photos and quite close to animals. Plenty of seating located around the zoo and good viewing points.

Basel zoo is far the best in Switzerland. Animals looks healthy & living in good habitat. The newly renovated restaurant is top. We enjoyed our day trip to Basel Zoo. Will definitely come back again.
