We very much enjoyed seeing the old looms and the beautiful woven items. The staff gave us an excellent overview of the operations and the detail for the patterns. We were able to purchase several beautiful table runners as mementoes of our tour.

Three of us enjoyed a 90 minute private tour lead by the interesting and entertaining Giorgio. He talked about the history of the stained-glass evolution and his family's role in it. He showed examples of sketches and actual stained glass plus many photographs of the...More

For 150 years, Moretti-Caselli family members have been making and restoring stained glass works in some of Italy's major churches, including Saint Francis in Assisi and the Duomo of Orvieto. Their craft is exquisite because the glass serves as canvas that is then minutely and...More

This museum/lab/factory is amazing. Giorgio did a great job of presenting this almost lost art of painting glass with metal oxides and infusing with heat to "paint" a stained glass masterpiece. The colors are jewel like and the the lead cams are placed to be...More
