Very comfortable
Dec 2019 • Couples
Comfortable and clean subway. Shortly and easier way to Old Town. Don't forget to check a work time- sometimes it's closed yearly in the evening

Convenient way to go up and down the hillside of Perugia
Aug 2020
The mini metro is a small cable car system that runs from Pian di Massiano to Perugia's historic center. It beats walking up or down the steep hill, so seriously consider using it or a bus if you are venturing that far. Tickets can be bought at machines right near the entrance. You can buy a single trip ticket valid for 70 minutes or a 10-trip ticket that you use ten different times (the price is slightly less per ride). You need the ticket to enter the turnstile and exit it on your way out, so don't throw it away or fold it. The cable cars run back and forth constantly during operating hours. You will wait only a minute for one to arrive at each stop. The mini metro ticket is also valid for buses, I believe, if you use it within 70 minutes of validating it. The view on the mini metro is really nice as you climb the hillside. Worth doing just for fun, even if you don't need to use it! I just wish their hours were better - the mini metro closes by 9pm and is not open super early in the morning.

21st Century Transport in a 2,000+ Year-Old City
Feb 2020 • Solo
After taking the escalators up/down the old city I had to utilize another modern transport method in this otherwise ancient city. I rode the Minimetro from the train station to the end (Pincetto) which is in the heart of Perugia’s historic center. (Upon exiting at this station you ride the escalators up and are rewarded with sweeping views of the Umbrian countryside all the way to Assisi). The ride took roughly 10 minutes and part of it passed through a futuristic-looking tunnel which was very cool. I purchased my ticket at the train station (1.50 euros).

Day in Perugia
Jan 2020 • Couples
The mini metro was great. Easy to use and very helpful getting back down to the main station. We were only in Perugia for half a day so it helped us save time.

Cheap and fun
Dec 2019
We caught the minimetro from the train station and got off at the old town centre. Cheap way to get around and you won’t have to wait long for the next minimetro if you miss one. 3€ per ride.

Fun Ride
Nov 2019
Our bus from Siena dropped us off at the Mini-Metro terminus. We rode the whole length, and walked back down through Roccp Paulina to our hotel. It's a good way to get to the train station as well, but the map is quite useless to figure out where the intermediate stops are located.

It was interesting and it goes really frequently. There are just 8 seats but there weren't to much people so it wasn't a problem. The view was great and it costs just 1.50 euro.

Fantastic way to get from the train station to right into the centre of town. €1.50 is very good value. We loved the clever way it takes you seamlessly between the town and suburbs. Clean and very impressive.
