A jewel

It is the best spot of Gubbio. It is a large square considering the narrow streets of the little town. The big palace dominates the square and the view on the valley of Gubbio is fantastic.

I have been to Italia 4x now for a total of 3+ months and Gubbio is the best.
The tour buses have not overwhelmed this medieval gem yet. Take your time. Walk all the streets and alleys-get lost even. The city is spotless and almost no ciggies which is a rarity here. Take the Busitalia bus from Perugia for about 11 euros. You will never forget Gubbio.

Lovely Town

Could wonder these streets for days and take photos and admire the view, lots and history and not too many tourist crowds shouting and marching about. Just beautiful.

Medieval Square on Arches!
Mar 2019
As a 1st Time Traveler outside of the USA, the Piazza Grande caught my attention by its vast size, fantastic view, and the essence of being on its stones. There is a truly remarkable feeling being in a place that has transcended time. However, it wasn't until I stepped down from its noteworthy view of Gubbio and discovered that it's set on Arches! Be sure to walk down to the Piazza Grande's foundation to truly understand how elaborate it's construction and existence truly is! It's Utterly Fascinating!

Wonderful mediaeval square and impressive architecture. Anywhere but Italy would surely be 5 stars but there are SO MANY 5 star sights.

One of the greatest piazze in Italy
Apr 2019 • Couples
Although we didn't visit during the Festa di Ceri (candle festival), this piazza is so nice to be in with the grand palaces of Palazzo Consoli and Plazzo Podesta on the other side, and even great views toward Umbrian plain from the high wall edges. For those who haven't visited this town, let me say Gubbio is a hidden treasure in Umbria, and many ceramic shops along Via dei Consoli show a great collection of newly-adopted Etruscan designs.
