Amazing views over the whole of Gubbio

This is a must for all visitors to Gubbio. The cages are just big enough for two and take you effortlessly to the top of Monte Ingino.

If you want to visit church of Saint Ubaldo, don't be frightened to jump into this special funicular to get to the hill. It is safe, you are helped in and out, and view is also amazing. Return tickets cost 6 EUR/person (Oct 2016).

One of the coolest things you can do while in Gubbio is ride the cableway Colle Eletto. You are quietly and swiftly carried up the mountain with amazing views!

Jump on into a moving circular 'cage' which then takes you up the steep hillside from where there is time to appreciate the super views. (There is someone to help you on/off - just stand on the red spot). At the top there is a cafe and Basilica of St. Ubaldo.

We spent three days watching other people make the trip up the mountain by cage, only to keep deciding that we couldn't do it. We aren't young and we aren't fit, but on our last day in Gubbio we threw caution to the winds and went for it. The main thing to remember is that the men who bundle you... More

We used the Funivia twice. The first time we paid for a one way trip up and walked back down the hill. The second time we went up and down in the Funivia. It cost around €5 one way or €6 for a return ticket. The views are spectacular and it is worthwhile walking to the top which is a... More

If you are in Gubbio it is definitely worth taking a ride. It moves quite smoothly and slowly so you get great views of the surrounding countryside. Getting on and off it the hardest part as they do not stop, so you have to jump!

You can't visit this charming old town without going up in the world! For a few euros you get a sensational view and the bar at the top is excellent.

Great, good fun, amazing views, two to a cage or the guys don't mind you going single if not busy. Ever wondered what a parrot feels like, try this.
