The outside of this church will draw your attention. And many go to see the baptismal font where both St. Francis and St. Clare were baptized. But you should go just to see JPII honored inside.

Beautiful! The view from St. Clare is stunning. I learned so much about St Clare. There is a wonderful collection of relics as well.

This is a somewhat modest church, but beautiful. The remains of St Clare are in the crypt down some steps. Don’t miss.

To be honest, I had not know the story of St. Clare and I am enriched to know it now. Peace and tranquility abound.

We were disappointed that Claire was all but absent from the Basilica of Saint Francis. But strolling uphill we pleasantly surprised to run across the Bailica of Saint Claire, with a display of her robe and other artifacts from her life. The church closes from...More

This was a good visit to the Church of Saint Chiara. The church is more simple compare to St. Frances. Nevertheless, it’s still a great visit.

While this church is on the other side of the mountain from the Basilica, you need to take the time to visit. Yes, you will walk up and down a lot of hills, it is a perfect compliment to the Basilica of St. Frances. Be...More
