Equestrian statue, but a good one

It is very detailed. It is punctual and vivid. If you are there on a stormy day, before or after the rain, it looks alive. In my opinion, it is one of the best horse bronze casts I have seen. Plus, if you are there on a Wednesday morning, you can experience a real Italian moving market.

This statue, completed in 1997, is located in Piazza della Liberta and is an 8 foot bronze version of the 24-foot horse in Milan. This statue was dedicated in 2001.

Nice sculpture by Da Vinci
Jun 2017 • Couples
It is a beautiful reproduction of a horse, but Da Vinci has done quite a lot of more interesting things.

Great American-Italian Connection

This 8 foot statue is the smaller version of the 24 foot Horse which is in Milan, Italy. The Vinci Horse was dedicated in honor of the birthplace of Leonardo in 2001. There is a 12' version in Allentown, PA, the home of Charles Dent, who originally began the project in honor of Leonardo. (There is also a 24' Horse in the Meier Gardens in Grand Rapids, Michigan)

If you walk downtown from the museum, you will see this statue of a horse with flaring nostrils. I would not go out of my way to see this statue.
