This place is such an unusual one to find in Siena. There’s a small farm with goats, donkeys, ducks and a tortoise with a large field..ideal for kids.We even met a peacock. The restaurant... what to say: We had our dinner there and the food...More
I had heard about this area/path from a tour guide (during our tour of the town hall) and I decided to check it out on one of my morning walks through/around Siena (we are in Siena for the summer). The path is a great place...More

We read of this space and were particularly interested in seeing the medieval gardens so we went prepared with picnic for a long visit.
Lonely planet made no mention of the fact that picnicking is not allowed and the restaurant was not open.
When visiting Siena every family or group of tourists must spend at least a few hours in this lovely green space. Completely tranquil it boasts a range of animals including free-roaming peacocks. It's literally 3 minutes walk from the main square and reserves a look.
