The streets were narrow and steep. It was quite a climb to get up to the Piazza il Campo and the Duomo area, but it was well worth it.

We were there during the lead-up to the Paleo race to commemorate the end of WW1. You definitely need a map of the streets that seem to go in any & every direction. Lots of interesting shops & restaurants ...and some located in the quieter...More

Not only you can admire old culture, you can watch people, you can watch tourists and you can do some expensive shopping. In Siena you have to wander around. Siena is worth a visit, but so a lot of tourists are thinking.

Siena Centros Storico is so unbelivable - the colors, the vibes, the overall feeling - Probably I can enjoy just doing nothing and walking randomly for no reason for more than a week - WOW!

We took a tour of Siena and was taken thru this delightful area. Had we been able to stay later, I would have liked to wander thru this unique area of small streets to explore but we only had a half a day. Despite some...More

Crazy crowded in August for Palio and summer but Siena is one of the most atmospheric ancient towns I have ever explored. Loved it just book what you can on line to avoid queues.
