It was always very quiet when we visited. There is a large courtyard ( toilets located here) and we visited a small chapel in the grounds which seemed to be the only area open when we visited.

We came across this by accident while exploring the streets of Siena. It is a lovely, quiet, uncrowded spot. No fee, not much to see, but really just a gem of a quiet moment in a busy sightseeing schedule.
A relaxing look into the life of Santa Caterina at her chapel. It's in a bit of an out of the way place. Try to time your visit when the bells here and other churches around ring their bells. A wonderful Italy sound!
It is a bit of a walk to the Casa di Santa Caterina, from our Hotel, but there are plenty of cafes on the way and lots to see around, like the different signs of the contrabass etc.
