One of my favourite places in Siena is its cathedral. Interior is so specific and unique with striped pillars and walls. Also I would recommend anyone who visits cathedral to climb on top of it and enjoy beautiful view on Tuscan hills.

The floors were completely open to view (although not walk on) when we were there last week (4-10 Sep)... even if the floors can’t be seen, which would be a shame, it’s worth going for the beautiful al fresco and paintings. The ticket also includes climbing up the Facciatone which is the incomplete extension of the Duomo complex. It gives you stunning views around the city and surrounding area!
