The heart of most Italian cities and towns is the piazza and Siena has a beautiful one. Surrounded by restaurants, gelaterias and many people it is a wonderful photographic and human experience.

An impressive piazza. It was amazing to hear the history of the piazza and the Palio race that takes place there. Watched a video of the Palio and couldn't believe the number of people that could fit into the piazza.

Arrived the day after the famous horse race. It was still set up. Sat with a coffee and watched world go by. Very busy as you would expect.
