This was a part of a tour, and this was a surprising interesting stop. The ornate inside was beautiful, the sculptures were just as interesting. Don't overlook this stop, go in and it's worth it.

San Gimignano is well worth a visit on many different kelps but the spectacular recently renovated Duomo in the centre is certainly one of the great places to visit whilst meandering through this beautiful city.

The square isn't much to talk about but worth a short visit to the Duomo. The churches in Tuscany vary quite a bit so interesting to go into a bunch of them including this one.

The Duomo is on this squre with a lot of steps. If you are already tired from the walking around the small city, take some minutes to rest on the steps of the church.

This piazza is the focal point of San Gimignano, the duomo is at one end, the old town well is at the other. The steps around both structures are full of people. The buildings surrounding the piazza are very attractive.

The stairs to the Duomo lead down to this square ( however if you want to visit the Duomo the entrance is at the side). Nice large square and we were lucky enough to be in San Gimignano at the start of the medieval harvest...More
