San Gimignano is well worth a visit on many different kelps but the spectacular recently renovated Duomo in the centre is certainly one of the great places to visit whilst meandering through this beautiful city.

This piazza is the focal point of San Gimignano, the duomo is at one end, the old town well is at the other. The steps around both structures are full of people.The buildings surrounding the piazza are very attractive.
The stairs to the Duomo lead down to this square ( however if you want to visit the Duomo the entrance is at the side).
