You can get a little jaded over yet another church in Catholic Europe but this is very old and on the way to the font from the museum of modern art/archaeology so no hardship.

It was closed but a poster said it is open set hours on Sundays. Looks very over restored externally but I would have liked to have seen inside.

Unique little church to find. We wandered outside of the typical San Gimignano tourist area and found this unique building with tall walls around it. We wish we could've gone in, but even the outside area was a cute little church discovery.

Worth the walk for the views, but the (apparently) much renovated Templar church was closed, with no opening times displayed. Check with Tourist Info before you wander out that way.

The Church of San Jacopo is right at the edge of the historic center of town and unfortunately wasn't open so we couldn't see inside. We were surprised at how small it was but it was fascinating to think that it was a Templar church.
