The castle is not really present anymore but the area is very quite as less people end up there. Worth it for a little break

San Gimignano is full of great medeival buildings and luckily also many great view points from where they can be admired. Rocca Montestaffoli is one of these spots. Unlike the towers the view here is free of charge.

Great place to have an overview of the city and landscape around it! When I've been there, there was an guy playing instruments from all around the world, some of them were handmade! Really amazing and relaxing!

The place is nice but not remarkable but the tower is. You can climb the tower for free and get an amazing view of the town and surrounding Tuscany. This is only a short way from the main street.

Great views of the rooftops and medieval towers of San Gimignano - and it's free! Walk into the fortress ruin and find the tower in the corner. It's 20 narrow, steep steps but worth the climb.
