This place is very interesting since there is a type of cemetery. There aren't crosses, only plaques on the ground with names, dates, sculptures and various information. It is a great place to relax and meditate since it is very quiet place.

The Piazza dei Miracoli is also known as Piazza del Duomo (and it is a walled 8.87 hectare area where you can find the Pisa Cathedral, Baptistry, the Bell Tower (Leaning Tower) and old cemetery. It's super packed during days but if you come towards...More

The area between the basilica and the duomo is very nice and just a basic big lawn, but well taken care of. The name is more impressive than the space.

It is a very little square if you compare with some other cities but it is very beautiful. You can get a Pass to visit everything around this square.

This piazza includes the tower, Duomo and Baptistery along with the bishops residence. The entire area is enclosed by walls and you have to go through the gate to get in. Lots of lawn space that is fenced for better photos.

Paranoid about getting a traffic ticket from driving too close to the Square of Miracles; we parked our rental car far away in a paid lot near the Arno River that required a long walk to this world famous attraction. It’s off season so there...More

On a Viking cruise ship excursion, we came to see the famous Leaning Tower. We did not fully realize there were other attractions associated with the bell tower, including the circular Baptistry and the rmanesque Pisa Cathedral. All are grand and worth a visit. The...More

Unfortunately we were on a tight timeframe so didn't get to explore fully. Big crowds even in November although mainly around the Leaning Tower - itself spectacular. Easy to walk around the piazza - on our list to revisit and explore properly. Leave plenty of...More

When you stroll through the Piazza dei Miracoli which translates to “Square of Miracles” you can actually feel the presence of the past within the grounds. It has a very interesting history and people should do a little research into such places so as to...More

Not sure about tickets but I can talk about driving in Pisa. And my advice is: don't. Leave your car at your hotel and take a taxi. It isn't a big place but it has narrow mediaeval streets, little in the way of parking... More
