May be my evvaluation should be more conservative, but it is indeed a jewel that few foreigners visit, right in a narrow street behind the Duomo; it is beautiful from the outside and inside is a real delicate jewel

My wife and I popped in to this little gem while visiting Lucca and were pleased we did. It’s surrounded in religious majesty, possesses a wonderful harmonious atmosphere and the statue of the Madonna with the Rose is charming.

This is a little gem and it is only a few minutes’ walk from Lucca’s cathedral. There was no visitors and it was very peaceful (a dream of every visitor). A nun was sitting quietly in the corner; she was obviously not in a mood...More
