Beautiful interior
Jun 2019 • Couples
If you park in the large car park opposite Porto Donato Lucca this is on your wander in and worth ten minutes to see the wonderful interior, particularly the ceilings.

True Jewel of a Church
Dec 2018 • Couples
This jewel of a church is rarely open for viewing. If you have a chance to see it you mustn't pass it up. My wife and I were lucky to find it open one afternoon for a choral concert. The interior is intricately gilded and painted, and you can climb 72 steps to the top of the dome and look down on the sanctuary below.

Interesting architecture
Sep 2018 • Couples
The church was originally built by Francesco Pini un the 18th cantury but it was refurbished later to be one of the most original Baroque buildings in the city. It is strangely high for its size with nicely decorated interior. The church was neglected for years, but it was fully restored a few years ago and it is well worth the visit .

I know you have a tendency to see a lot of churches when in any town or city in Italy but this church was a pleasant surprise. The place was awe inspiring and spectacular.

Not much notice given when this is open but boy it is a stunner. Keep an eye out and step inside. It is tiny and very beautiful.

Don't miss this
Oct 2014 • Couples
Reopened after a huge renovation in may 2014 this really is a gem not to be missed. We have passed it several times, before we looked inside.
It really is something special, once you look up!
You can climb up the stairs and you can see the construction that keeps the dome on its place.
Free gift while you leave..
