Exquisite purchase and easy to bring home.

Like other reviewers, I coveted the black/grey/taupe scarf shown in the window for two years before I purchased it. Vladimir was the final straw. Cute as hell and even my husband enjoyed our interaction.

Temptation awaits

If you love beautiful design and exquisite workmanship then don't miss the scarves and shawls in Zazzi. The shop is situated just off Piazza San Michele and you can't miss the large loom in the window. If you happen to be there at the weekend then there's a chance you will see it in operation and the end result - a beautiful scarf. Vladimiro is the owner and designer and his passion for his products is infectious. The scarves are displayed around the walls in a rainbow of colours and textures, from the machine made every day to the more fragile, special occasion hand woven ones. The after sales service is also great - should you damage your Zazzi scarf you can post it back for repair. Even better, take a return trip to see both wonderful Lucca and Vladimiro and deliver it yourself.

Exquisite!
Apr 2014 • Couples
Lucca has been famous for it's silk for hundreds of years and a trip to this boutique tells you why. The quality and design are breathtaking. The boutique has weaving demonstrations on Saturdays which we sadly could not attend. The owner/designer Vladimiro is warm and welcoming and very happy to share his love of silk and his exquisite designs with you. His resume is second to none having worked for some of the top names in the industry. He has more recently gained permission to photograph old masters which he then expertly turns into some of the most beautiful scarves you will ever see. If you're looking for that special gift from Lucca, look no further!

Bellissimo!

We stopped Zazzi because of the gorgeous display in the window and Vladiimir, the shop owner was the highlight of our day! He explained everything about the handmade scarves in the shop, amazing in feel and design . . . all in beautiful English, a rare find in Lucca . . . with a passion and enthusiasm that made us promise to return on Saturday to watch the weaver complete the scarf on the loom that he showed us. I want to buy that scarf! I in Lucca because my great-grandmother was born here and she was a weaver before she came to the US in 1899. My scarf from Zazzi will be a treasure and I know that Vladimir will be well known in the US after his trip to NYC in the fall. This work is incredible!

Beautiful shop, great scarves and friendly owner
Jun 2013 • Family
Zazzi is right off the main plaza and is a fantastic store to browse through and pick up some great hand-made scarves. The shop owner, Vladimir, was great. He took the time to explain how the scarves are designed by him and then handmade right in his shop. You can tell that he loves his products and is proud of the local craftmanship.

If you're in Lucca you should stop in and pick up a great scarf at a reasonable price.

Not only the scarves etc are of a very high quality but the person who created the brand and store is so enthousiastic and full product facts that you just can not leave the store without buying something. So refereshing after all the bored and not interested sales people in other stores.

I Saw it and Had to Return
Jun 2013 • Solo
I noticed this store on one of my first days while staying in Lucca (June 2013). The scarves they had in the window display were so beautiful I had to go and and look around. The salesperson was friendly and took the time to educate me about their scarves. It was a Saturday so besides the salesperson they also had two women there who work on the looms. The store was full of hand-made scarves made of all materials: cashmere, wool, silk, cotton, etc. My favorite scarves were the printed ones. So the morning we left Lucca I went back and bought myself two scarves. The first had a print of old Lucca and the second had the same print as the scarf in the display window. The scarves are pricey, but for a hand-made scarf of that quality made it was worth it.

Beautiful Scarves
May 2013 • Couples
When we visited Lucca this spring, I wanted a to take something home with me in addition to my wonderful memories. We found just the thing at Zazzi. Beautiful scarves designed by the owner and store manager and made in the region. There were so many choices but I settled on the scarf imprinted with an ancient map of Lucca. He has lots of designs, one for Puccini lovers, one for flower lovers, one for just about anyone. Vlad's english is excellent and he makes you feel welcome from the first moment. He clearly loves and has a passion for what he does.

Zazzi - a shop for made in Italy scarves
If you are looking for real made-in-Italy silk scarves, visit Zazzi on Via Calderia in Lucca. The scarves are made in the province of Lucca. Vladimir, clerk in the shop and a designer, provided us with lots of information about the family owned business and the problems of the competition from imported goods, clearly showing his passion for his work. A demonstration loom sits in the front window, as does a silk-screened version of an old print of Lucca. By contrast, we viewed many inexpensive scarves at outdoor markets with the tags cut out of them, thus disguising where they are made. The Zazzi scarves are certainly pricier than those imported ones, but they are clearly of higher quality. Vladimir’s English is excellent and he is a great conversationalist, whether you buy a scarf or not; he discounted the price from what the tag stated when we made a purchase in April 2013.
