A wonderful 3 mile walk around the wonderful Lucca. You can view the whole town as you walk slowly round then enter the town to try the local restaurants and cafes which are super. Climb the tower if fit and enjoy a glass of the...More

Well, literally a "cannot miss when in town", but nevertheless well worth seeing. There are two nice geocaches here.

Took us just under an hour and a great introduction to the city as you can see the towers and streets and homes and shops and...lovely to find so many locals walking and running along the wall too!

A must see if you are in Lucca. The walk took us less than 40 minutes. It is a great way to enjoy its sights.

The walls, built in the 18th century were never bombarded. Today they offer a pleasant walking or cycling path with views into the town which dates from Roman times.

The mura is like a suspended park where you walk, rest, ride a bike and you can observe the city and outside of the walls, as well.

At least 2 bike hire places located close to the entry/exit points of the wall. Easy to spot in such a small town.
