Have e-mailed Green Bike a few times but get NO response whatsoever. Not sure they are still in business?

I booked a bike for Saturday 27th August 2016 to collect between 9 and 10 am. After two emails this request was confirmed in writing. I arrived at their office at 9 am and waited an hour and a quarter after which time it was still closed. I went to tourist information who tried both the landline and mobile number and got no reply. They then phoned another place called Passuello, booked me a bike there and then and showed me on the map how to get there. It was a short walk and the bike cost 5 euro for the day instead of the 15 euro I was going to pay for one with Green Bike. At Passuello's the lady did not speak English but was very friendly and helpful. The bike came with a lock and basket. The shop sold and repaired bikes so possibly I could have also asked for a helmet and puncture repair kit but as I was going on the Viale Italia which is car free and well tarmacked I took the risk. I was only in Livorno for one day having arrived by cruise ship. I had a wonderful day cycling to Antignano and having lunch there. There are several beaches along the way - I didn't swim but lots of locals and holiday makers were. Antignano is about an hour's cycle - 8 kms. A really lovely cycle and an easy roout once you are out of Livorno itself. Even Livorno has good cycle routes on the roads though. Antignano is completely free of English speaking tourists - I had a great lunch at Pizzeria Tomei in the main square - lots of delicious food for only 12 euro and no English on the menu - heaven. Green Bike have not contacted me to apologise or explain so I have no idea why they let me down. Despite this I had a wonderful day and thoroughly recommend hiring a bike in Livorno.

So from our itinerary you may know That today we docked at the Port of Livorno A tour of Florence and Pisa is the tourist attraction Or.........you can have some more bike riding action No luxury electric bikes this time Keep grinding the gears, one through to nine Our guide for this trek was Gianluca our mine host as we pedalled along the Tuscany Coast I decided to keep the steep climb as a surprise The response is best described as "a look of the eyes" The view was well worth it, but the best bit was still We got to freewheel all down the hill This 30 odd kay trek we did survive Lunch was a "cinque e cinque " aka as a "five and five" Its a Livornian pancake made from chickpea It was placed in a baguette and handed to me

Going on bike around Livorno was the best thing we can do here, is not really so much to do but you will enjoy looking around without walking to much, this place is located close to the downtown and have really good prices €3 for 1 hour, €7 for 3, €10 for 6 hrs and you can even have it for 24 hrs for only €13. Have fun!!

There were 3 of us who were on a cruise around the Mediterranean and we decided to explore the portfolio Livorno, I had researched the Internet and found green bikes of Livorno from trip advisor, they had good reviews. I booked for 3 adult bikes. The cruise shuttle bus dropped us off in the centre of Livorno which was a 2 minute walk to the bike hire location. We arrived at green bikes to met by Elisa whose English is very good, the bikes were ready and waiting for us, which included padlocks and helmets for no extra costs. Elisa was very knowledgable of the area and told us of a very easy route along a cycle path by the sea front. We spent 2 hours cycling along the path and had an enjoyable time. If you want to see Livorno by bike I recommend you go to see Elisa at green bikes.
