This church was large and on the inside fairly plain. There are no large paintings, but instead has busts or statues down the sides of the church. Much of it is off limits, the altar area and the area where people prayer. It has nice...More

While visiting Fiesole, I was fortunate enough to attend the noon Epiphany Mass at the Cathedral San Romolo. Not very big, nor was the noon attendance large. Great couple of hours to spend on a chilly day touring Fiesole.

Fiesole is a wonderful village, and we loved the character of this cathedral after seeing so much opulance in so many others. We were there on a Sunday afternoon, the smell of incense from morning services still in the air. There was only one more...More

This Cathedral it's located just in Piazza Mino, where the bus leaves passengers, in Fiesole's centre. Cathedral has a great contrast to Baroque churches that you can find in Florence. The tower is beautiful and you have a glimpse of Tuscany outsider the very touristic...More

This is a stark and dark church in the center of beautiful Fiesole. The town floats above the Firenze valley and the soaring tower floats above the hill village. There is an intricate carved pulpit decorating the altar that should be seen.

We walked down from where we're staying and we were impressed. Beautiful vaulted ceiling columns and a balcony. Would I go again, oh yes.

This is not one of the world's greatest cathedrals but it makes a gentle contrast to so many over decorated Italian churches. It is shady, cool and simply decorated with a great tower. Well worth a half hour of your time.

This is a very nice cathedral. Lots of great art and a special type wich is quite special. I really recommend this cathedral. It gives a very special feeling to enter. Special in the sense that you can go around also behind the alter. Lovely
