Since 1914 Archaeological Museum conserves Etruscan, Roman and Lombard finds, telling the history of Fiesole. In front of the Museum there is Archaeological Area, with the Roman Theatre (that holds shows and viewers during the Summer), the Etruscan and Roman Temple and the Roman Baths. Everything is sorrounded by the calm of nature, even though it's very close to Florence.

Nice Roman amphitheatre only 10-15 minutes by bus (no. 7 from San Marco) from Florence. The views over the hills are fantastic. An audioguide in included in the ticket price, but mostly gives general information. The museum itself contains both local finds (Etruscan, Roman, etc)...More

We paid €12 euro each for a ticket that gave entrance to the Bandini museum aswell as the amphitheater and ruins. We enjoyed the visit and would definitely recommend when in the area.

The museum is a great place to go and walk in. We went with young children and spent about an hour there. The museum has a lot of archeology and we all enjoyed walking around the ruins and seeing all the artefacts.

Lovely little museum, and interesting ruins. Well worth getting the multimedia guide (included in the ticket price) to get the most out of the experience. Not relevant to us, but brilliant facilities for disabled access.

Take the #7 bus from Florence and it will take you right there. This site is really cool. Awesome to see some ancient Roman and Etruscan ruins, still in amazing shape. Was surprised to see not too many people there, and you can get up...More

Interesting site with a museum. The charges were slightly confusing. The museum is good and the arena is well preserved

So sorry, life has been too busy since Italy 2016! But it's still a beautiful fresh memory. I guess you now know if there are May concerts in the amphitheatre. I would have advised you to check their website, or email the... More
