Highlight of Florence
Jun 2018
This might have been the highlight of our Italy trip. This place is great. While walking we came across La Bottega del Chianti and absolutely loved the place. The owner treats everyone like royalty, he passes out glasses of wine along with cheeses, meats and bread with olive oil. There is everything from wine, cheese, bread, vegetables and a hole lot of eclectic items for sale. I can’t write great enough reviews for this business. If your in Florence you have to stop by for a great authentic Italian experience.

Loved this shop

Gorgeous hand made olive wood cutting boards and spoons. Very reasonable prices. The charming owner plied us with wine and cheeses as we shopped. He and his brother made many of the wood items but you can find all kinds of things here. Wine, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, meats cheeses etc. Don't miss this place!

An Aladdin's cave in the heart of the city
Aug 2017 • Family
As stated in other reviews, this little shop crammed with beautiful olive products, wine, cheeses, kitchen wares, ceramics, jewellery and with a shopfront dressed like no other, is an absolute joy! We came across it by accident towards the end of our stay in Florence when we were starting to become a little weary of the main tourist shops. This one is like no other we found. The hospitality was amazing and cheerful. We were offered wine, cheese, meats & fantastic truffle oil to taste and we came away with some limoncello and lovely gifts. Refreshingly, no English was spoken so useful to have google translate with us. Highly recommend a visit.

must stop by while in Florence

This little shop is a MUST while visiting Florence! Upon walking in, my friends and I were greeted by such a sweet owner with a huge smile on his face. He was so excited to show us all of the items in his shop as well as have us try cheese, meats, and some fantastic wine!
Its a genius idea to give people wine while shopping. We went in for 1 cutting board, and left with much more than that!
The owner of this shop is so genuine and proud of his work. We must have spent 2 hours in his little shop and it was definitely a highlight of our trip!

A must go to place

We ran across this most authentic shop in Florence Italy and the owner is the most gracious person we have met. Upon entry, there are amazing things to purchase which were made in Italy. Olive wood trays, copper kitchen wares, wines, cheeses, meats. The owner welcomes you into his shop, pours you wine and gives samples of cheeses. He is so accommodating and we loved his kitchen wares that we returned several times. This shoppe made our trip! We will return each time to purchase authentic Italian specialties.

Tiny shop, sells amazing products!
Sep 2015 • Couples
This shop was located in the street across from our hotel. I went in to buy olive wood spoons which I got 3 for 10 euros. He sells fantastic wooden chopping boards in all sizes and I would have bought one but we had no room left in our suitcase! Once inside, the shop is tiny but he sells olive oils, cheese, wines, etc. There was bread dipped in olive oil for tasting and the oil was delicious so I bought a bottle! Great little place for authentic Italian products.

A secret shop smack in the heart of Florence
Apr 2015 • Friends
This delightful, unusual tiny shop features more cooking ware, foods, and curiosities than one can imagine, all packed into a space that allows only 2 or 3 persons max to enjoy. If nothing else, the outside and inside of the shop are a joy to photograph, and few tourists visit.

Olivewood articles, handmade copper pots and pans of all sorts, wines and a deli; one cannot put even a hand anywhere that doesn't have something interesting to see.
