My wife and I took a bike tour with Tuscany Bike tours during our visit to Florence. It is everything they promised. A nice tour of a castle-based winery along with a tasting, a brisk bike tour initially downhill through Tuscan wine and olive oil...More

After reading the reviews we were excited about this tour which we took on 4/14/08. Unfortunately the tour guide Keith that day was nothing like the reviews had recounted and he honestly seemed disinterested in the tour and not at all empassioned about what few...More

We visited Florence for a week and decided to book this excursion at the last minute. We had done a lot of sightseeing in the city (Duomo, Uffizi, etc.) and wanted something different. We thought about taking bus tours or renting a car, but a...More

Fun trip. Only had about 2.5 hours of actual biking but that included 2 sections where you can go your own pace. We only got to have one glass of wine and some olive oil for the tasting so don't expect a sampler. More wine...More

Excellent tour - biking and drinking and eating. Guides were great and a lot of fun. Would recommend to all to take - but just don't drink too much before the second half of the tour lol.

Well run tour - all the guides (alessio, jacopo) were fun and friendly - added lots of good stories to fill tour time. Cycling was fun, scenic and pretty easy with the exception of the "optional" climb from restaurant to castello - which was "duro"...More

Santa Croce
Stop and stare at the beauty and symmetry of the
Basilica of Santa Croce any time day or night.
Unraveling around it are a number of architectural and
artistic masterpieces, from the Synagogue to the
Central National Library. As a hub for young people,
the area gets busy with people who want to have fun: a
continuous flow of tourists and locals become animated
by songs and dances.

No the bike tour would not be good for children. Some of the hills are steep and the I don't recall seeing any children's bikes or seats at the castle.
