This is a small piazza that is surrounded by some very nice buildings most of which were constructed in the 15th century and have loggias at the front of them. Two of the buildings house museums and another building is a small basilica which is...More

This is a small piazza and it is very quite. There is a nice statue and it is surrounded by museums so worth heading that way for those reasons.

Little bit different from the more central piazzas. Some museums but, no restaurants and coffee shops. A bonus is that it's not so crowdy.

A nice little Piazza which contains many museums, but lacks the cafes and restaurants found in the other Piazzas. The statue and fountains are impressive. Tends to be a little bit quieter than the other Piazzas.

Located behind the Accademia. This piazza is made up primarily of 3 buildings and a statue of a Duke (Ferdinard). All worth taking the time to enjoy, especially the Renaissance arches and columns.

The Piazza Della Santissima Annunziata is a pleasant square not far from the Duomo. Complete with the usual stores & eateries, it is a nice place to visit, stop and have a drink.

I think we liked it for it's simplicity and the hidden stories that it holds. Make sure you look for the open shutters: As the legend goes, centuries ago one of the Grifoni sons took a beautiful young bride as his wife. The couple, deeply...More

The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a
stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence,
surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking
students provides the tranquil surroundings for the
elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read
the daily newspaper. Home to several universities,
including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one
of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A
