Be sure to reserve ahead, as the tickets are limited and if you buy same-day you may get inflated ticket prices from vendors not affiliated with the Cupola. The climb can be arduous at times, and at some points is a bit claustrophobic. But the...More

Definitely reserve ahead - it can be sold out up to 3 days ahead of time. Pace yourselves up the steps, stop often to see the amazing views and get some fresh air. Stop and be amazed inside the dome as you look down at...More

My advice - do NOT pre-purchase tickets. We bought skip the line tickets through the official website, however the lines for the cathedral, bell tower, and dome were each hours long. It was so hot and the wait was so long with no shade. The...More

Our family did the climb after reserving our time slot well in advance. We entered a couple minutes ahead of schedule. It was busy, but the stairs were not as packed as I anticipated... we did not feel rushed in any way. The views at...More

I purchased tickets for first entry of the day – and what a great idea… once you get over waking up early, it’s really nice to be there first, get to top one of the first ones, see it all without crowds and too many...More

The view was worth the climb. Take your time and it is fine. You can book your own reservation and ticket instead of doing a tour.

This is a remarkable trip - up the tower and then inside the dome, right up to the top of the cupola. You get incredible views inside the cathedral, get right up close to the frescoes, and then have amazing views over the city. But...More

Another review relating to the Duomo, it truly is the dominating sight to see in Florence. The Dome is a phenomenal example of structural engineering and certainly isn’t a matter of substance over style. The design is beautiful. Admission was free which made it a...More

It is worth visiting the Cupola in spite of the fact that there are more than 460 steps you have to climb up there until you reach the panorama level. On the top you realize how high the cupola is. And the views are amazing.

Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity

brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does

Yes you can... but to be honest the climb isn't that hard. The final bit is the tightest but compared to some climbs that I've had in the UK the Duomo was a doddle. The view from the top is brilliant. If you do think you can... More

One line for all because everyone who has tickets to go up the tower is given a specific time to enter. This is different to the cathedral where no entry time is given.

Sort of. A queue forms before the time of people all of whom have timed tickets. At the allotted time the gate opens.
